That's Right !! We attended a specially booked seminar for 10 of us to train with Master Sken at his Stockport Sitnarong Muay Thai training academy on the 15th and 16th October 2004 - and what a fantastic weekend it was for us all - we all have been training in kickboxing for many years now - and some of the 10 who attended had also done a little Muay Thai and other styles of martial arts before.

The academy was very easy to find and had everything in there you could possibly want from a training camp - and everyone we met in the academy done their very best to ensure our stay there was a comfortable as it could possibly be.

We met Master Sken on the Friday afternoon at the academy and i must say he is one of the nicest and politest people you could ever want to meet - we spent 3 hours training with Master Sken alone that afternoon - and it was a great mixture of everything Muay Thai has to offer - we also learnt a lot about the culture and origins of Muay Thai - plus learning the language as we were training - all in all a very good afternoons training.

We then headed back to the hotel that had been booked and arranged for us by Master Sken - this was only 5 mins away from the Academy - it was a nice hotel and the staff were also very polite and helpful.

The second days training started at 9.00am - we then went through some traditional Muay Thai warm up routines and exercises - and again a very enjoyable hours session doing Master Skens knee and elbow combinations (about 45 different combinations i think) we then spent an hours training with some of Master Skens instructors that teach at his clubs - and every one was extremely helpful and tried their best to help us out with the training and combinations we were doing (thanks again to them all !) we then spent another hours training going through more technical combinations and techniques with Master Sken - this was very enjoyable and we all learnt a lot from this hours training.

All in all we all had a brilliant weekend there - and i cant thank Master sken and his team enough - we all had spent many years training before going along to this weekend, but still came away with so much more than we could ever possibly imagine - we all learnt a lot from the way Master Sken teaches and runs his clubs - plus learnt loads more about what Muay Thai is really all about, Master Sken is very passionate about Muay Thai and it is clearly shown in the way he teaches his classes - after all, with 44 years experience under his belt - what do you expect ?

If you are considering training with Master Sken, then i can not recommend it highly enough - regardless of what style of martial arts you do or have ever done - and the level of training you have done in the past (from white to black belt) then i can guarantee you will learn something from this man - i (we) now have had the pleasure of training with possibly the greatest Muay Thai practitioner in the world - and i can not wait until we go there again very soon - if you don't, then i can honestly say it will be your loss.
