t was decided that we would do our anual charity event for the year, so we came across
the idea of 100 continous rounds of sparring, all in good nature and all
for charity. What was even more impressive, a number of the students decided to go past the 100 round mark, some reached the 125 round mark, well done to those and tro everyone who took part. Over 100 students took part in the event which was held at the crosslink centre in Swindon on the 25th March 2006, and over £2000 was raised for charity. Students from several different clubs and different styles took part in the event, and it was a very enjoyable day. The event was very well run and controlled, and the instructors who gave up their time to organise and manage the event put a great deal of effort into making sure the day was a success. So thank you to Ashley, Keith, Jenni, Lawrence and Richard for a great day out, and for all of us for raising such a fantastic amount of money for such great causes. We will kepp you informed of the next SMAA charity event. So a big thank you to every student and instructor who took part on the day - well done! You can view some of the photos from the day, an are also available on disc for any of the students who were there and would like a copy, just request a copy from your instructor or send me an email.
